frequently asked questions

Like a pikle covered in maple syrup, pregnant women love floating! The benefits are noticeable in the second and third trimester. If you have any concerns, please consult with your GP before floating.

We can not guarantee that the salt won’t strip some color from your hair. We recommend that you check if  the water running through your hair in the shower is fully clear. Then you will know if you are suitable to float.

Being in one of the tank is more like floating in outer space rather than being shut in a closed box.  You’re always in control of your environment (like you can half open the tank sliding door or just leave the tank light on). And even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the tank.

Don’t drink coffee for several hours before your session. Also, don’t shave or wax as the salt water can irritate your skin.  We recommend floating in the nude. So no need to bring your bather and we will provide you with a private room fitted with a shower, towel, shower products, ear plugs and make-up wipes.  Feel free to bring your personal items that may cater to your individual needs such as a comb, brush or make up. Other than that, there’s no specific preparation needed.

Yes but no. Float pools do exist, but we think that they take away from the whole ‘sensory deprivation’ experience. We have three tanks and only one person per tank.

Yes.  Just follow the same protocol you would expect for a swimming pool.

Saltwater and fresh tattoo does not mix! Not only could floating with a fresh tattoo be painful, but the water solution could cause discoloration and damage its  appeal. Thus we recommend waiting 4-6 weeks before floating.
